Every Layfen lamp is designed and made in Bengaluru by the three of us who started Layfen. We print, finish, fit and check each one ourselves.

Yes. Every lamp is made to order. It is printed slowly, layer by layer, then finished, fitted and checked by hand before it reaches you.

Our bases are printed in PLA, a plant-based material. Most shades are printed in PETG, which lets light through softly; Arka and Rouge have PLA shades. You'll find the exact material for each lamp under Specifications on its product page.

Those lines are the layers the lamp is built from. They are part of how it is made, not a flaw, and they mean no two lamps are exactly alike.

Some lamps come in a choice of colours. Nami, for example, comes with a black, beige or red base and a white or transparent shade. Any options for a lamp are shown on its product page.

All Layfen lamps take a standard E27 LED bulb. We recommend warm white (2700K) for a soft, cosy glow.

Please use LED bulbs of up to 5 W only. Higher-wattage LEDs, halogen and incandescent bulbs give off too much heat for a printed shade and can warp it.

Switch the lamp off, unplug it and let the bulb cool down before you change it.

No. Layfen lamps are made for indoor, dry spaces only.

Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Please avoid water, sprays and cleaning chemicals.

Keep it away from direct sunlight, heaters and damp spaces. Strong sun and heat can warp or fade the print over time.

Yes. Your lamp is covered for 12 months from delivery against faults in how it was printed, finished or wired.

Drops, knocks, water or heat damage, and damage from bulbs above 5 W are not covered. Cracks or breaks are covered only if the lamp arrives that way, so please check it as you unpack.

Write to us at hello@layfen.com with your order number, original invoice and a photo or short video, and we will make it right. If something arrived cracked or broken, please tell us straight away.

Every lamp is made to order, and it reaches you within a week of your order. Delivery is free.

We deliver anywhere in India, and shipping is always free. We don't ship outside India at the moment.

Your lamp arrives complete: the base and the shade, with the E27 bulb holder and cord set already fitted inside.

No. We leave the bulb out so you can choose the light you like. Any E27 LED bulb of up to 5 W will fit; we recommend warm white (2700K) for a soft glow.

Because every lamp is made to order, we accept returns only if your lamp arrives damaged or its electrical parts (the bulb holder or cord set) don't work.

Check your lamp as you unpack it. If anything is damaged or not working, write to hello@layfen.com straight away with your order number, original invoice and a photo or short video, and we will make it right.
